Most of us know to avoid sugar ladden drinks and sodas, but where else are your children (and possibly you!) getting that unwanted sugar??
Fruit leather~ it has just as much sugar as fruit juice
Low – fat peanut butter ~ the fat is replaced with sugar for taste and texture
Yogurt ~ check your label! Some yogurts contain more sugar than a candy bar!
Cereal ~ recommended sugar amount is 5 grams per serving. I fudge and allow 10 grams.
Flavored milk ~ might as well have dessert …
